Marsden’s role as a leader in educating New Zealand’s young women must continue to evolve.
According to the Secondary Futures Project, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, “The role of the learner will significantly change over the next 20 years. At the heart of this change is the role that creativity will play in economic competitiveness, cultural trends and technological innovation.”
The Marsden Creativity Centre is our response to prepare our students to adapt to this change.
The primary purpose of the facility is to expand and ‘future proof’ our curriculum by developing the creative learning focus at the School. The Centre is designed to extend students through creative learning practices – increasing their knowledge and preparing them for the global stage.
Creativity Centre Development
The development of the Creativity Centre has four stages. Our immediate goal is to raise $2,621,700 in philanthropic support for Stage One, which consists of The Hub for Creative Learning and an educational program that will provide advancements in the way in which Marsden students learn, live and grow.
